Dear Mother.

I just call to tell you I’m spending Christmas and New Year in Norway. Torunn picked me up at the post office this evening. She had to stand in a very long line before she found me. We drove to her house, and after we had said hello and hugged, I got to call you.

It’s quite cold here in Norway, and dark. Even though there’s snow outside, we need to lite some candles.

I found a couple of buddies right away. This is Kitty and Cat. Also Mrs Santa offered me some Christmas porridge.

Torunn had rice porridge with butter cinnamon and sugar for dinner, a Christmas tradition here. I was happy to have some lettuce instead.

After dinner we watched Pippi Longstocking on tv. She was killing a rattlesnake, and it was a little scary.

Then I managed to talk Torunn into going outside again. I wanted to make a snowman.

This is where I’ll stay for the next couple of weeks. Can you see me in the second photo?

Torrunn got a knitted Christmas tree in a Christmastime swap. She put it in my room to make it cosy and Christmassy.
