We have had such a busy, fun day in the kitchen. First we put marzipan on the two fruit cakes we made last week. I got the hang of rolling it out really quickly.

And then I enjoyed making little marzipan balls ready to add to the almond cupcakes.

I was really keen to get baking the cupcakes. My favourite job is controlling the speed of the mixer!

We popped these in the oven and took a short break. This is how they looked when they came out. The marzipan goes chewy at the bottom of the cake.

Yumm!

We got out for some fresh air today. It was lovely and sunny after a few days of rain. We went to Warden Hills, which is on the outskirts of Luton. One of the hills is called Galley Hill. There are myths and legends from here. I will copy some info into a separate post. Here are some pics from our walk:
