Hi all, sorry for not posting yesterday but I will try to make up for it with lots of pictures today. Bonnie’s daughter had an outdoor sports clinic so Bonnie and I went to a nearby park for a couple of hours to kill time while we were waiting. We went to the beautiful Colonial Park in Somerset, NJ, which has ponds, gardens, trails and lots of magnificent trees (some of which I got to climb). The two of us took a nature walk, where we saw a yellow and black snake slither through the woods, a whole row of turtles sunning themselves on a log, a heron preening from across the water, a mallard duck, some fishermen, and lots of birds, squirrels and chipmunks. We felt like we were walking through a scene from Rabbit Hole Knits! It was shady and a very serene and calming walk. Here are some pics:

Climbing trees:

I feel very small next to these trees.

This red winged blackbird was following us:

Turtles sunning behind me:

Is that a heron I think?

So tranquil!

Is this one of Sara’s squirrels??
