When we got up this morning I was surprised that we went out in the car before eating breakfast. We went to the Farmers’ Market! So many lovely vegetables. And salad with flowers.

We collected a cup from the cup library to buy a drink

Christophe made a delicious crepe for our breakfast. I chose cherry jam.

The market is next to the railway station. It is one of the most photographed buildings in the Southern Hemisphere. The mosaic work has been restored recently. I found a sheltered place in the hedge to look at the famous building. It was even mentioned in the biography of a well known New Zealand author.

Back at the market I met a busker and gave him the change from buying the carrots

Later I explored North Dunedin and loved the view of the University clocktower. The University was 150 years old last year. It was the first university in New Zealand.
