Today when Amanda went to work and she left Virgil and me to get acquainted, I had a little jet lag and napped alot… but when Amanda got home we took out the poetry books from the bookcase and looked at poems. Here in the US April is National Poetry Month!

I chose a poem by Oregon laureate William Stafford called “Sending these messages”

It was raining all afternoon but suddenly the sun came out and we were treated to a huge, strong rainbow so we all ran out to the front yard to admire it!

It was getting dark so we all met to discuss our plans for the weekend…. everyone had different ideas, but it looks like we all want to see a mountain and we also want to go to Portland's famous Powell's Bookstore, a store of new and used books - several floors of wonderful books!
