It was raining today, which is typical of spring and of Oregon! So many lush tones of green here in Oregon, due to the amount of rain…. I picked a poem of the day for Poetry Month… today is Jane Hirshfield's “For what Binds Us”

Then Chickie and I jumped into Amanda's bag and we were ready to head out for the day.

We had a fun day!

We went to Hood River, Oregon - about 30 mins away… to visit our LYS (called Knot Another Hat)… I picked out the surprise for my next host! Do you see me?

Then we drove to Portland… on the way we stopped to let Virgil out of the car to get some exercise at a park along the river… luckily I saw this before Virgil did, so we were able to get Virgil back into the car before we ended up with a very smelly poodle.

I spotted an art gallery called the Columbia Art gallery and we stopped in to see the artwork… the theme was about Migration.

From there we drove into Portland and up a high hill to OHSU (Oregon Health and Sciences University) a huge hospital complex that overlooks much of Portland, you can see 3 of the many Portland bridges… for those that enjoy classical music here is a link for All Classical a music station with a live cam of one of the bridges….My new friend Chickie and I had a bird's eye view.

Now Chickie and I are settling in with some popcorn to watch a movie, good night to all!
